Become a Foster Parent
In order to become a foster parent, you must first complete and submit the following application. (Download the application).
Thereafter, you will be contacted to submit to a home study with a home licensing or adoption specialist. This will include providing copies of your birth certificate, marriage license, a financial declaration and other documents. Once your home study is complete, all members of your household who are 18 or older must undergo a criminal background check, fingerprinting, and Central Registry check.
You must also complete 14 hours of training, and submit current medical report for all family members in the home.
Lastly, all potential foster homes must be inspected by the fire department and the health department.
